Public Print Works
Piotr Szyhalski, Malignum Aditum Puncti
Public Print Works is a multidisciplinary, participatory, performative event centered around the ideas of collective work, public space, and art defined as a communicative and community-building process. At the heart of the project is the collaborative printing of a series of varied scale ephemera, which are developed, produced, and disseminated throughout the night. The project confronts our understanding of what it means to work, of ways in which we “produce,” and the often amorphous notions of “community” and “value.” Public Print Works aims to articulate the tension emerging from the blurring of boundaries between production and consumption of art, between physical and intellectual, and between public and private.
