Lives and works in Minneapolis
Mentor: Sarah Rara
My art practice investigates the natural world’s ability to heal the body and to educate the public on how these practices from holistic medicine can be applied to a modern day lifestyle. I make participatory sculpture where o rdinary life activity becomes the platform for extraordinary change.
From Jessica Hirsch’s Proposal
The greatest intention of my practice is education. I hope to present the public with new ways of thinking about wellness. Participation is essential for the viewer to experience healing modalities that can only be felt in the body. Technology can provide common ground, a space where the user understands how the tool works. AOV appeals to me at this juncture where I am seeking new communication methods as my work becomes more instruction based.
