Your support raises us up!

We believe that art is what the world needs now. By supporting artists, we’re investing in opportunities to come together, explore ideas, heal, and grow.

In 2021 our mission looked like:

  • A world premiere of an animation and soundscape by Moira Villiard and collaborators in 8 degree winter weather on a 400 ft long wall of the St. Anthony Falls Lock.
  • Four emerging artists of Art(ists) on the Verge demonstrating incredible tenacity in steering their public projects to completion despite a state shut down and social uprising.
  • Seven artists of the 4th generation of the Northern Spark Artist Council empowered as curators and creative planners
  • A reimagined, hybrid in-person, online, in-the-mail Northern Spark festival for 3 weekends and 2 weeks in June that closed with an 8 hour overnight alchemic experience of poetry, song, dance and birds singing at dawn on another continent.
  • The launch of a call for augmented reality projects by Native artists to lend us visions for the “future river.”  (Coming to the Mississippi river near you in Fall 2022).

Your support helped us adapt our work in the last year, and we need you with us as we move into 2022 and beyond.

To get there, we have a $5,000 goal for Give to the Max Day 2021. Your tax-deductible donation makes a big difference for the coming year, helping us to reach more people, support more artists and sustain Northern Spark annually.

Support us on Give to the Max Day, Thursday, November 18, here.

Thank you for your support!
